Welcome to the Trustworthy Computing and Decentralized Technologies (TCDT), a research laboratory in the computer science department at the University of Manitoba. Our mission is to develop reliable and secure solutions using decentralized technologies, including blockchain and federated learning.
At TCDT, we delve into the convergence of blockchain with diverse domains such as smart grid, healthcare, agriculture, and supply chain. Join us as we push the boundaries of research, foster collaborations with industry partners, and empower the next generation of decentralized technologies. Together, let's create a more secure and trustworthy digital ecosystem.
In TCDT we are trying to create a research community where excellence thrives in an environment built on integrity, respect, and inclusivity. Our code of conduct encompasses three fundamental pillars: professional ethics, fostering a workplace free from sexual harassment, and promoting a culture of inclusivity. These guidelines ensure that we uphold the highest standards of conduct and create a welcoming and equitable space for all members of our lab community. Please read them if you want to join us.
What is going on in TCDT?
TCDT Lab people have published their recent paper : "CALOSYS — A Robust Blockchain-based Marketing Loan Ecosystem for Small Businesses". “Calosys,” is a blockchain-based P2P lending platform that employs augmented reality (AR) and smart contracts to create a token-based loan system that caters to entrepreneurs' marketing needs.
During the 5th Blockchain Technology Symposium, held on June 1st, Koosha, a TCDT member, introduced Calosys, a novel loaning system built on blockchain technology. The presentation was conducted with the Future Data Lab at the University of Manitoba.
We are delighted to announce that our paper titled "CALOSYS - A Robust Blockchain-based Marketing Loan Ecosystem for Small Businesses" has been accepted in ICBC 2023 as a demo paper. This collaborative effort between TCDT Lab and Future Data Lab has brought together the expertise of Dr. Rouhani and Koosha from TCDT, resulting in this significant contribution to the field.
